Sugar Notch Borough O&M fees for the second quarter sanitary will be mailed in the next few days.
Penn Revenue will start the collection process on all overdue Sanitary O&M fees by the end of April, 2014. Anyone who has an overdue amount ending December 2013 is advised to contact Penn Revenue at (570) 970-0133 to make your payments. Any overdue amounts have been seperated from the regular billing and will be collected by Penn Revenue. Residents are reminded that there will be fees attached to the collections..
PAST DUE SEWER AMOUNTS
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT ANY RESIDENT WHO HAD PAST DUE SEWER AMOUNTS FROM LCRA BILLING ENDING DECEMBER 2013 WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THE INITIAL BILLING BY PENN REVENUE.
ANY PAST DUE AMOUNTS HAVE NOT BEEN REMOVED AND WILL BE COLLECTED SEPERATELY BY PENN REVENUE USING A VARIETY OF OPTIONS INCLUDING LIENS, COLLECTION AGENCIES, ETC. IT IS HIGHLY ADVISABLE TO PAY ANY PAST DUE AMOUNTS TO AVOID ANY LIENS AND/OR POSSIBLE LITIGATION.
Sugar Notch Delinquent Sewer Fee Ordinance
Residents are reminded that Penn Revenue, a division of Northeast Revenue is the borough's new sewer O&M collection agency and will be mailing out the invoices mid February.
Please do not send any payments to LCRA as they will be returned.
It is highly recommended that any overdue amounts be paid immediately to avoid any additional penalties, interests and possible liens.
All information concerning number of EDU's have been verified by Penn Revenue and WVSA and have been adjusted to properly reflect each resident.
Attached is a copy of the ordinance that Penn Revenue will be using to assess penalties.
The fees and penalties listed are added to the delinquent property owners bill and are to be paid by the owner on record.
SUGAR NOTCH COUNCIL FILLS VACANT POSITION
Sugar Notch Borough Council at the April 2nd regular meeting appointed Mr. Mark Kus to the vacancy created by Mrs. Regina Fillman.
Council appointed Mr. Kus by a vote of 5 - 1.
Sugar Notch Borough is seeking Borough residents interested in volunteering to serve on the Borough’s newly formed Sewer Advisory Committee.
This is a long-range planning committee working closely in cooperation with the Borough sewer Chairperson to insure that the Borough taxpayers receive adequate services and a fair rate structure.
The Committee will also be responsible to recommend programs and ordinances to Borough Council and to work on the implementation of inflow and infiltration control measures.

Garbage Collection Changes
Attached is a letter which outlines items that will not be collected at curbside. This is a Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection mandate which all municipalities must adhere to. Items that are determined to fall in these categories at collection time will be tagged as non-collectable.
Date: First Wednesday of the month is the Council Meeting.
